Martin is a managing director of Goldman Sachs and he is the head of the Mexico office. He joined Goldman Sachs in 2000 as a vice president and became a managing director at the end of that year.
Prior to joining the firm, Martin worked as Public Debt Director (1991-1994), General Director of Public Credit (1995-96), and Undersecretary of Finance and Public Credit (1997-99) in the Mexican Treasury.
Martin serves as a board member of the American School Foundation in Mexico City. Martin earned a B.A. in Economics from ITAM in 1986 and a Ph.D in Economics from Yale University in 1991. He and his wife, Mercedes, have three children and live in Mexico City. |
